National Farmer's Day, the fifth Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh is celebrated as National Farmer's Day (December 23). Today, farmers are grateful for the hard work that their farmers provide. Chaudhary Charan Singh has done a great job for the benefit of the farmers.
He established the National Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (NABARD).

In India, Farmers Day is celebrated as 'Kisan Divas' or as National Farmers Day. On the birth anniversary of the 5th Prime Minister of India, Chaudhari Charan Singh, on 23rd of December. He was a good leader. In his work period, he started many policies for farmers, to make farmers life easier. He was a leader of farmers.

As we know, India is an agricultural country. Chaudhari Charan Singh, the 5th prime minister of India. In his short period, he has done many works for the Indian farmers.
His dedication to the country and to the Induan Farmers is great. He was from a family of farmers, he knew all the issues of farmers. That's why he has done works for the farmers. As a respect to his efforts for farmers, Kisan Divas was being celebrated on his birthday.

From 28 July 1979 to 14 January, 1980 Chaudhary Charan Singh served as the 5th Prime Minister of India. People and many historians refer him as the 'champion of India's peasants.

- In 1951, appointed as Cabinet Minister of the state Madhya Pradesh.
- 1970, became Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from Congress.
- 5th Prime Minister of India. (1979-1980)
- He was an author. He wrote many books some if they are, 'Abolition of Zamindari', 'Co-operative Farming X-rayed', 'Indias Poverty and it's solution, 'Peasant Proprietorship or Kand To The Workers' and 'Prevention of Division of Holdings Below a Certain Minimum'.
